  • Rabbi Nosson Tropper

    PRINCIPAL

    Rabbi Tropper has a wealth of experience in both educational leadership and Torah scholarship.  He served as the Founding Dean of Torah High School of San Diego and was a former principal of Mesivta of Allegheny County. Recently, he was the Principal and Rebbi at the well-known Yeshiva Tiferes Yisroel in Brooklyn, N.Y. He is highly regarded for his dedicated leadership, professional approach, and ability to inspire students to maximize their potential and formulate their post-high school plans. Rabbi Tropper is a shining role model of the בקשת האמת, דרך ארץ  and מדות טובות that are the hallmark of a true תלמיד חכם.

  • Mr. Robert Paletta


    Principles of Engineering

    Mr. Paletta is a highly accomplished educator with over 20 years of teaching experience dedicated to student success. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Hofstra University and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from Dowling College. As a certified New York State Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher, Mr. Paletta seamlessly bridges academic theory with real-world application. His pedagogical expertise is uniquely enriched by a strong corporate background, having managed business operations in New York City and Los Angeles. This rare blend of corporate insight and teaching mastery allows him to prepare students exceptionally well for future career success. Mr. Robert Paletta will be joining the faculty of Yeshiva of Great Neck in the capacity of principals of engineering.
  • Dr. Chijioke J Evoh


    History 12

    Dr Chijioke J. Evoh is an experienced educator who has taught across secondary, undergraduate, and graduate levels. He has extensive experience as a high school social studies teacher, covering Civics, US History, AP Economics, Government, and Global History. At the university level, Dr Evoh has designed and delivered diverse courses across the Social Sciences and Humanities. Beyond the classroom, he is a Global Policy Strategist and Development Policy Advisor with over 15 years of experience. He serves as the Managing Director of the Sustainability and Livelihood Research Organization (SULIVER). In this role, he provides technical expertise to United Nations agencies on employment frameworks, job creation, and governance reform. He has also authored numerous UN technical studies and peer-reviewed articles on youth employment and post-crisis livelihood rebuilding. We are excited to welcome Dr. Chijoke Evoh to Yeshiva of Great Neck, where he will be the 12th grade history teacher.
  • Mike Stencel


    ELA 9

    Mr. Stencel has been teaching English at New Hyde Park Memorial High School for the past 22 years, working with students across all grade levels and academic abilities, including AP Language and Composition. He has also had the opportunity to teach high school English at a Yeshiva in Manhasset. In addition to teaching, Mr. Stencel has coached junior high boys’ lacrosse and wrestling. He served as the advisor for the school newspaper for eight years and the school yearbook for four years. He also serves as the school’s Broadcast Journalism advisor. In addition, Mr. Stencel is currently New Hyde Park Memorial High School’s union representative. Outside of school, Mr. Stencel is a Scoutmaster for his sons’ local Boy Scout troop and works as a middle and high school swim official in his free time. Mr. Stencel earned his bachelor’s degree in print journalism, with a minor in political science, from Hofstra University. He also earned a master’s degree in Secondary English Education and an advanced degree in educational administration from Long Island University’s C.W. Post campus. We are very excited to welcome Mr. Stencel to our team, where he will be teaching 9th grade ELA.
  • Mr. Howard Robinowitz


    Biology and Earth Science

    Howard Robinowitz has over forty years of experience as a Science teacher. As of February 1978, Howard started teaching at Thomas Edison High School in Queens NY and retired from the Department of Education in 2016. Howard has taught biology, General Science, Chemistry, Environmental Science, AP Biology, Medical Pharmaceutical, Living Environment, Botany. Howard had his own professional pet supply business for over twenty years. He even did shows throughout the East Coast. Howards passion is his hobbies with hydroponics and gardening. He teaches through a hands-on approach to education. Howard is married with five children and fifteen grandchildren and enjoys being with them throughout the United States and Israel. We are looking forward to having Mr. Rabinowitz join our staff for Biology and Earth Science classes.
  • Mr. John Ferrara


    ELA

    Mr. John Ferrara has been a public-school, English teacher for over 25 years in the Sewanhaka Central High School District in Floral Park, New York. He obtained his bachelor's degree at Hofstra University and earned his master's degree at Queens College. He has written several curricula for the Sewanhaka Central High School District focusing on changing the dynamics of teaching English. He has taught the New York State Regents Examination for over 20 years and has a 100% passing rate.

    MATHEMATICS

    Mr. Brusca currently holds a Master's Degree in Mathematics, and is a Certified NYS Teacher. He has been teaching at at New Hyde Park Memorial High School for over 6 years. He also taught at P.S./I.S. 78 for 2 years prior to this. Mr. Brusca's clarity and ability to break down complex mathematical concepts makes him a favorite of both students and staff at Yeshiva of Great Neck. He has a firm grasp, as well, on what his students need and where they can use extra help.
